This portfolio evolved over several years beginning from a capture of a set of stairs leading from a crypt in Guatemala. One thing led to another and stairs became something always to be sought out when in a new environment. I like the self imposed constraint of working with a usually rather mundane and common subject matter. I like that they are passages to parts known or unknown.
